Welcome to Sew Tarot

Introduction

Handmade Tarot Wraps, Pouches and Rune Mats

Small-batch pieces for well-loved decks and stones

Practical protection with a little magic woven in

Hey, welcome in!I’m Lisa, and Sew Tarot is my little corner of the world where fabric and intuition meet!I handmake tarot sheaths and rune casting cloths for readers, collectors, and curious beginners alike—basically anyone who believes their cards and stones deserve more than being shoved into a drawer or wrapped with a rubber band. Each piece is designed to protect your divination tools and feel good to use, with thoughtful textures, rich colors, and patterns that add a little extra magic to your practice.Everything is made one piece at a time, so no two are ever exactly the same. I pay close attention to how the fabric feels in your hands, how it drapes, and how it complements the energy of the cards it’s meant to hold. The goal is simple: your tools stay safe and wrapped in something that actually feels like you.Thank you for being here and for letting me be a small part of your tarot journey!

Wrap your cards in care… and a little magic

Your tarot deck isn’t just a stack of cards, it’s a little container of your energy, your questions, and all those quiet moments spent shuffling or doing a daily pull. A handmade wrap or pouch not only keeps your deck safe and clean, but also energized for the next reading, so when you reach for your cards, they already feel grounded, and ready to do their thing.

About Sew Tarot

Handmade Protection, From a Real Human (Hi, it’s Lisa)

Because factory lines and plastic pouches don’t say much for intention

Sew Tarot started as a little “what if?” moment. When I brought my tarot decks back into my life, I realized I didn’t have anything that truly fit them— or me. “What if I made my own?” I wondered. And then I did. That small spark turned into something I couldn’t put down.I’m a lifelong creative, a proud hobbyist, and someone who knows firsthand how healing art and ritual can be. Sew Tarot is where all of that landed. I make each pouch, wrap, and mat myself, one at a time (and usually to perfection, but if you spot a tiny wonky stitch or a little puckering here and there, that’s just a wink from the human behind the sewing machine.) The soft velvet, the silky wraps, the grounded weight of a casting mat… it’s all chosen to feel good, not just look good.I’m not an expert or a guru. I’m just a human who makes beautiful things so you can do what you do whether you’re brand new to tarot or you’ve been at this for years. No mass production. No soulless overseas factory. Just handmade magic inside, created with care and a whole lot of heart.Connect with me on instagram.

Creative Process

Made With Intention & Love

How your deck’s next favorite wrap comes to life

Every piece I make starts the same way: with a feeling.
I didn’t just grab fabrics because they looked pretty (though yes, that matters too). Over about nine months, I tested and played with all kinds of colors, patterns, and materials until everything clicked just right. That’s how I landed on the fabrics I use for my line today — velvet for the pouches with soft satin interiors to protect your cards, silky wraps that glide under your hands, and casting mats with a heavier, grounded feel. Each choice was about more than looks; it’s about touch, weight, movement, and how it makes you feel when you hold it.
The designs on the wraps and mats are sublimated straight into the fabric, so the artwork truly becomes part of the piece — no peeling, cracking, or fading over time. The velvet pouches use heat transfer vinyl for their designs, giving them bold, crisp details that also stand up to everyday use. And then I sew everything by hand, in small batches, right here at home, with care (and maybe a little happy dancing) stitched into every seam. This line didn’t happen overnight, it’s the result of experimenting, tweaking, and figuring out what felt like me and, hopefully, like you too. This isn’t about mass production or chasing perfection. It’s about creating beautiful, functional pieces that feel as if they were made just for you, because in a way, they are.Click the button to see available pieces.

Custom Orders

Custom Creations for Your One-of-a-Kind Practice

Sometimes the right piece doesn’t exist…until we make it

Let’s make it yours!

Have an idea that’s been living in your head (or your deck bag)?Custom orders are one of my favorite parts of Sew Tarot. This whole journey started because I wanted something that felt personal. Not factory-made, not copied and pasted, and definitely not made by a machine with no heart behind it. I’m human, I make these by hand, and intention is woven into every single piece. When you come to me with a custom idea, we’re collaborating. I’ll listen to your vision, your practice, your vibe, and we’ll shape something that feels right for you.

Custom orders are a team effort. You bring the idea (fully formed or scribbled in your brain), and I’ll help shape it into something physical. To get your imagination rolling, you could…

  • Use a personal sigil or symbol (I don’t design sigils, but I do bring them to life!)

  • Add your name or a short, meaningful phrase

  • Choose your velvet color for pouches: blue, black, red, purple, or green — or any sourceable color you can think of

  • Change the ribbon or tie color on wraps

  • Customize beads on satin ties

  • Change the lining color (pouches)

  • Swap colors on heat transfer vinyl designs I already offer in my shop

  • Add a vinyl or full-color DTF design to the black back side of wraps or casting mats

And if you’ve got a wild idea that’s not on the list? Let’s chat! I’ll be honest about what will work, do my best to bring your vision to life, and make sure the final piece feels completely you. Handmade, intentional, and made by a real human — quirks and all.Click the button to email me your ideas.
